In the Shostkin and Yampil communities of Sumy Oblast, contracts were signed between the NRC and project participants.
The NGO "Association for Democratic Development" team, as a partner organization, began supporting the second wave of the treaty signing process between the Norwegian Refugee Council in Ukraine (NRC) and the households selected as part of the project, which pre-filled the registration questionnaire for livelihood support for IDPs and war-affected local rural population from among vulnerable categories in Shostkin and Yampil communities of Sumy region.
In the Shostkin and Yampil communities of the Sumy region, the signing of contracts between the NRC and the project participants, who were additionally selected for the project, began.
Before signing the documents, the team of the NGO "Association of Democratic Development" held an information session for households of the Shostky community of the Sumy region. The participants were introduced to the terms of the agreement, in particular the intended use of funds for the purchase of agricultural goods and services, the obligations of the parties, the specifics of reporting for the assistance received, and answered questions.
During the information session, the participants of the project listened to a small lecture on the peculiarities of conducting agricultural activities and mine safety. They received a brochure presenting advice on soil types, the choice of crops according to their characteristics, and the use of fertilizers and pesticides.
Particular attention was paid to safety rules: participants learned how to act when inspecting fields, avoid the risks associated with the use of drones, and behave correctly during an air alert during field work.
After signing the agreements, household representatives received feedback leaflets with contacts of the NGO "Association for Democratic Development" and the Norwegian Refugee Council. If necessary, people can contact the specified communication channels and get help or advice about the project.
